  • Abstract
    An efficient and economic explicit-implicit finite element algorithm is presented to solve transient problems. The method consists in discretizing the region into structured and unstructured elements which lead respectively to explicit and implicit solution schemes. The proposed procedure is applied to analyze simple scattering problems in the time domain
