Abstract :
An analytical method for computing the minimum and maximum inductances in single-phase and two-phase switched reluctance motors is presented. Results obtained by implementing this method are in close agreement with finite element analysis (FEA) and experimental results from a prototype motor. The effect of end core flux on the values of minimum and maximum inductances is discussed
