Abstract
One of an electrical engineer´s major responsibilities is converting a problem into mathematical form and then into a piece of hardware that will solve, or at least help cope with that problem. Often the model will be deterministic, for example E = IR. However, in some cases, uncertainty precludes using a deterministic model to describe the problem. In these cases, electrical engineers often use probabilistic, statistical, or stochastic models.
