Abstract :
A numerical estimation of the high bit rate performance of ultrahigh speed data decision and demultiplexing ICs was found, based on measured phase margins at instrument-limited bit rates and on the comparison of the voltages formed on the load of the sampling logic at the end of the sampling period. With this method ultrahigh speed ICs can be characterised using a lower bit rate instrument
