Abstract :
A robust nonlinear interior-point OPF is formulated which can handle the infeasible solution of an OPF. An advanced implementation of UPFC with various control modes in the robust nonlinear interior-point OPF is established. It is focused on the sparse, flexible and systematic formulation of a sophisticated UPFC model in the OPF. Numerical results based on a four-bus system, the IEEE 30-bus and 118-bus systems demonstrate the feasibility as well as the effectiveness of the proposed OPF method and the established UPFC model
