Abstract
The people of the United States are, by both history and inclination, pragmatic and practical. Yet they have always been a people with a vision. Some have called this vision simple and sometimes naive. Yet it is that vision that has so often led the United States to dare and achieve. Americans have been pathfinders, far-sighted enough to set goals and sights on points beyond, yet imaginative enough to figure out how to reach them.
