Abstract
This paper presents experimental investigations of a fast measurement method of telecommunications signal power, based on a substitution technique. For that purpose, design and characterization of a new fast thin-film thermal microwave power sensor have been carried out. Experimental results are presented and, concerning response time, comparison with commonly used methods is made. It is shown that the method is applicable in a range of power suitable for telecommunications and microwave wireless applications
