  • Abstract
    Optical compensation of polarisation-mode dispersion using a tracking electro-optic polarisation controller and a high-birefringence fibre has been demonstrated. A penalty of <1 dB was achieved over a 0-115 ps PMD range, with and without the use of a fibre.
