A list of some 200 advanced technologies that may be of strategic value to the Soviet-bloc nations has been drawn up by a working group in the office of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering and is being considered for an expanded strategic embargo emphasizing know-how rather than hardware. The concept was recommended in a study performed for the Defense Science Board by a task force headed by Fred Bucy, president of Texas Instruments.
