Abstract :
Written by leading Japanese experts or based on their inputs, the articles target achievements that are comparable to those of other advanced nations. A complete review of every area of electrotechnology is hardly the objective. The accomplishments span broad and diverse fields of endeavor, and demonstrate anew how the technological knowledge of the world has been used to change life for the Japanese. In the years to come, that knowledge may be generated as easily in Japan as abroad.
