Abstract
In this paper, we propose a method for removing raindrops in camera images by using a set of images taken by a camera array system. Since multiple cameras in a camera array system can observe an identical 3D point from many different viewpoints, the 3D point is visible from some cameras, even if the same 3D point is occluded by raindrops in the other cameras. Thus, by selecting image information of visible cameras, we can synthesize images which do not have any raindrops. The experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed method.
