Abstract :
A novel leaky-wave antenna constructed from an image non-radiating dielectric waveguide (INRDG) is presented. Unlike conventional leaky-wave antennas, the broadside radiation is realised by utilising the resonant characteristic of the leaky INRDG waveguide mode. Experimental results measured at Ku band confirm the effective performance of the antenna.
