Abstract :
A new matrix formulation for determining the field of a radio-frequency source is presented. The new matrix formulation gives a theoretical validation of measurements using a single dual-polarised field probe. It is shown that if the field magnitudes at two orthogonal tangential polarisations and the phase difference between the field components are measured at a number of locations, the radiated field may be determined without knowing the phase difference between the measurement locations.
