Abstract :
A micromechanically controlled Gire-Tournois (GT) interferometer, which has widely tunable dispersion controlled by comb-drive micromirror, is proposed for optical-pulse compression in the subpicosecond regime. The pulse-narrowing performance has been experimentally verified to produce nearly transform-limited pulses with a width of 0.43 ps.
