Abstract :
The choice of the characteristic impedance Zl of the coplanar waveguide is critical in the design of a nonlinear transmission line (NLTL), because it determines the metallic losses (DC and skin effect) of this component. The authors demonstrate that Zl can be chosen precisely through time-domain calculations, taking into account skin effect losses, using SPICE simulation. A practical example is considered for an NLTL with a Bragg frequency of 250 GHz
