Abstract
A novel optical device for wavelength selective switching is proposed. The device is based on a cross-coupled Mach Zehnder interferometer MZI (CCMZI) with wavelength-dependent cross-coupling. The analysis is based on mode propagation theory. SiO2-Si is presently the most promising technology for realising this kind of device
