Abstract :
In recent years to compensate reactive power in the electric mains and enhance stability of the electric supply the static reactive power compensators including STATCOM compensators are used [1]. This compensator is based on the autonomous voltage source invertor (AVSI) with pulse-width modulation. Its operation principle is based on the formation of the leading or lagging phase shift angle between current and voltage at the output of the AVISI connected with the supplying main phases.
