Abstract :
Methods to implement lumped element quadrature hybrids using a cascade of simpler hybrids are described. Both first and second order cascades are considered in detail, the former requiring an ideal inverting transformer to give an optimum equi-ripple response. Both techniques are employed to design a fourth order hybrid operating over the 10-100 MHz band, and details of fabrication and test results are given, showing consistency with theory
