Abstract :
In this paper, the author outlines his vision of the electric utility of the future. He sees the utility as multinational, carrying its expertise into emerging parallel businesses, having the flexibility and willingness to unbundle, adapting readily to new structures and concepts, going beyond its traditional borders to grow, and as an expert manager of risk.
