Abstract :
With the development of image processing techniques, people can easily tamper digital images by using some advanced software. For images are widely used for the recent years, large amount of digital image manipulation could be seen in magazine, Fashion Industry, Scientific Journals, Court Rooms, News etc. The tampered images will produce great impact, and harm to the normal order of the society. How to make effectively forensics to the tampered images is becoming a research hotspot in the information security field. Where digital image forensics has emerged as a new research field that aims to reveal tampering in digital images detecting forgery in digital images is an emerging research field. Forgery detection methods can broadly be classified into, active methods and passive methods. Passive methods can farther classify into blind or non-blind methods. This paper presents the use of fuzzy gradient based image reconstruction as a means for detection the tampering of images by using non blind image forensics. This methodology has its application in a context where the source image is available and for this paper applying for paintings, where paintings are the type of images.
