Abstract :
Cold plasmas allow synthesis of macromolecular networks by fragmentation of organic compounds into active species, particularly free radicals, obtained after collision between the plasma components and the monomer molecules. In this paper, a dielectric barrier discharge was used in order to obtain plasma polymerization reactions at atmospheric pressure. An intensified charge-coupled device camera was used to study the evolution of light structures between the electrodes, in helium and organic vapor mixture plasmas.
