Abstract
The bispectrum can suppress Gaussian noise and detect signals arising from nonlinear processes. The authors use bispectral analysis to recover diagnostically important low level signals, called ventricular late potentials, that are masked by noise in high resolution electrocardiograms. The practical application of this novel technique is assessed
