Abstract :
InGaAs/GaAs/AlGaAs multiquantum well microdisk laser diodes have been realised which operate continuously at room temperature. A threshold current of Ith=1.2 mA has been measured for a R=4.75 μm radius disk with lasing emission wavelength near λ=1.0 μm
