  • Abstract
    Theoretical results that predict a gain in the pressure sensitivity of a fibre Bragg grating when coated in an elastoplastic material are reported. Experimental results using a highly sensitive interferometric interrogation scheme confirm that at least 25 dB of gain is achievable
