Abstract :
An approach based on spatial filter preprocessing is developed to enhance the resolution of current spectrum estimation algorithms and is applied to sensor array processing in the single snapshot case. The effective signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the accuracy of autocorrelation estimation are significantly improved through the use of this approach. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the improved performance achieved by the new approach relative to that obtained with some other algorithms
