Abstract :
The authors demonstrate the first micromechanical tunable top-emitting laser with a continuous wavelength tuning range of 20 nm centred at 926 nm. For 11 nm of the tuning range, its threshold current and peak output power are <~1 mA and ~1 mW, respectively. Over the entire tuning range, the threshold current remains <1.9 mA and the peak output power >0.92 mW
