Abstract :
The use of the parser generator tool YACC (yet another compiler compiler) for implementing a CEBus CAL (Common Applications Language) interpreter is described. Another program called BISON, has also been used in this fashion. Besides using these tools to generate software code as a framework for implementing CAL, these tools are also useful in checking the logical consistency of the complete CAL language or any subset of CAL selected for a particular application
