  • Abstract
    We have newly developed the audio and video signal processing system for the DV format VCR. This new system mainly consists of four LSIs: (1) a digital read channel LSI; (2) DV coding/decoding LSI; (3) digital interface LSI; and (4) a video signal input/output LSI. The system contains the digital read channel for the first time on a DV format VCR. The digital approach on the read channel has greatly reduced the variations of performance and has eliminated the need for complicated adjustments. The digital read channel LSI has a low power consumption of 280 mW
