Abstract
In this paper, a flexible and useful algorithm for efficient analysis of finline-type structures is discussed. The proposed full-wave tool, using the integral method, is based on the calculation of modal inner products obtained through the Galerkin´s procedure. By properly selecting trial functions taking into account the metallic edge effects, a numerical determination of such inner products is obtained through a trapezoidal numerical integration with nonequidistant discretization steps. This approach allowed improving accuracy while reducing the computational effort.
