  • Abstract
Reduced clearances between circuits and the arrangement of various voltage-level circuits on the same tower have resulted in a serious increase in induction effects. Several configurations have been studied with up to three circuits, each of different voltage, on the same tower. Typical tower configurations are shown. The authors describe the problems identified, alternatives considered, and solutions developed for such circuit arrangements. Problems with voltage unbalance, residual load voltage, ferroresonance, breaker recovery voltage, ground switch duty, and line maintenance have been identified, and solutions are presented
