Abstract :
A code division multiple access (CDMA) receiver that employs subband processing techniques to mitigate multiple access interference (MAI) is presented. The incoming signal is processed using wavelet packets and a new version of the received signal with most MAI eliminated is reconstructed. A correlation receiver is then employed. This receiver achieves good BER performance even for low signal-to-interference ratios
