Abstract :
This paper proposes the Mode Group Diversity Multiplexing (MGDM) in 10 Gbit/s 1km Optical Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) communication systems which are based on Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF) communication system using Space Time Block Code (STBC). MIMO is the use of multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver to improve communication performance. In this paper, a MIMO system with reduced complexity is considered. The simulation results demonstrate that system based on STBC-MGDM achieves better performance than that only employing MGDM in current systems.
