Abstract :
The present paper concerns the activity of a famous radio physicist, an expert in the field of SHF physical electron-ics, the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Alexandr Georgiyevich Shein. Three periods of Prof. Shein´s activity are singled out: in Kharkov, in the Crimea, and in Volgograd. It is noted, that in Simferopol State University the department of radio physics was organized upon an initiative of A. G. Shein.
