Abstract :
This survey reports on motive power developments for the previous year ending August 2001. Invitations to participate were sent to a number of locomotive builders throughout the world. Railway industry trade journals and other rail magazines provided additional input. General information is presented on 5 diesel locomotives and 6 electric locomotives.
