  • Abstract
    The paper perfects and adapts Alippi´s methodology (2002) to estimate the performance degradation of an application being implemented in a mixed analog/digital technology. Finite precision representations, deviations from the reference computation and fluctuations of physical parameters due to the production process for passive components are suitably abstracted by implementation-related perturbations and associated to the performance loss index. Such an index can be used to validate a candidate solution and identify the most sensitive modules composing the circuit/system. The effectiveness of the high level approach is shown on a nontrivial embedded system comprising an analog filter, an ADC and a digital FFT module.
