Abstract
The paper presents a method of a high-frequency signal formation based on the use of images of fundamental frequency of direct digital synthesizers (DDS). The analysis of the noise performances of signal shaper is realized. It is shown that the use of images of DDS allows reducing the power spectral density of phase noise of shaper of 5-12 dBc/Hz. It significantly decreases multiplying factor of output frequency multiplier and allows reducing the dimensions of the shaper.
