Abstract :
Considered as the development trend that the product design was changing from product-oriented to customer-oriented, a traditional concept of product feature was extended and the concept of customer feature was presented. The customer-feature-based sunglasses wearing system was developed using the front and side photos of a customer´s head to construct a realistic 3D facial model, which can be carried out with four steps. They were as follows: obtaining standard model of people, defining facial feature, constructing spring mesh model and mapping texture. Furthermore, customers can wear sunglass virtually from the sunglass database. The system can help customers to choose proper sunglasses rapidly, and also offers support to sunglass sales.
