Abstract
Analysis of algorithms of the orientation for high maneuvering vehicle objects shows that fast computations of scalar products with guaranteed errors is one of the most important procedures. So embedded special-purpose or functional-oriented processors (FOP) are required for real-time computations. Above all the FOP´s processor core structure must be adopted for fast scalar products computations. IP core for hardware support of an efficient scalar product is proposed in the paper. This core consists of 64-bit ALU, multiplier (64 bit also) and a four-port register file. The comparison of architectural performance between a proposed core and some modern microprocessor architectures is represented.
