Abstract
Summary form only given. This paper reviews the fiber optic inertial navigation system (INS) products at Northrop Grumman. The airborne product, the LN250 INS (the smallest, lightest INS system available), which has been selected for the Comanche helicopter, is discussed and examples of its navigation performance presented. The land navigation product, the LN270, which uses the same fiber gyro cluster, is reviewed along with examples of its navigation performance.
