Abstract :
When the lifting scheme is applied to construct a kind of biorthogonal wavelets, a method of seeking a predict operator and update operator is given by W. Sweldens. We propose another method of seeking the predict operator and update operator by utilizing multiresolution analysis, perfect reconstruction, and pulse function. Then dual wavelet function and scaling and primal wavelet function are determined. Compared with W. Sweldens method, our algorithm is simpler and easier. Finally, the simulation shows that the wavelet constructed in the paper has good compression performance.
