Abstract :
By combination of single-stage optical PMD-compensator and an adaptively equalizing 43 Gb/s DPSK receiver a PMD-tolerance of 7 ps was achieved at 10-5 outage probability. This is an improvement by a factor of 2.5 w.r.t. standard receiver.
