  • Abstract
The effectiveness of anti-islanding methods for grid-connected PV systems depends strongly on the parameters (R, L, and C) of the local load. However, the normally-available Pload and Qload data do not permit the calculation of L and C, and thus the real-world ranges of L and C are still not well characterized. If measurements are available at two frequencies, then L and C can be found. In this paper, we describe a procedure for doing this, and a preliminary study using this procedure. We present our results to date, and offer observations on the range of applicability of our findings.
