Abstract :
This contribution is concerned with multidrive control of servo axes for machine tools. After an overview of suitable models for different types of state-of-the-art multi drive control concepts with structural coupling, rules of thumb for efficient commissioning are given. The achievable performance for multidrive axes is elucidated by an exemplary milling machine tool swivelling axis.
