Abstract :
This paper focuses on the space vector PWM control of multi-phase motor drives, and 15-phase induction motor drives are taken as an example throughout this paper. A practical Generalized Park´s Transformation for 15-phase motors is presented and the characteristic of the 15-phase voltage source inverters are analyzed. Based on these characteristics, a new and effective space vector PWM control of VSI fed 15-phase induction motors is presented, which improves the simplicity, accuracy, and the construction execution speed. The techniques presented in this paper can also be generalized to control other multi-phase drive systems.
