Abstract :
The possibility to create waveguide structures based on diaphragm with coupling elements placed astride it, which have both allowed and forbidden bands, had been shown experimentally. It was shown that introducing the heterogeneity kind of “dowel with gap” into the construction provides the appearance of the resonance singularity kind of low-loss transmission window in the forbidden frequency band and a kind of cutoff peak in the allowed frequency band. The value of dynamic range of transmittance adjustment using n-i-p-i-n-structure, placed in the gap between a dowel and a frame element, reaches 23.5 dB at the value of transmission loss of 1.5 dB. The possibility to use the offered device for controlling output power of a generator based on Gunn diode has been investigated.
