Abstract :
Summary form only given. Patterned media have attracted great attention due to the expectation that they will lead to the realization of 1 Tb/in/sup 2/ HDD. One of the most serious problems, however, is the high cost of manufacturing circular nano-patterns with a large area. We show an artificially assisted self-assembling method, which includes simple nano-patterning using a nano-imprint lithography and fine nano-patterning using self-assembling diblock polymers.
