Abstract
In this work it is presented the design and construction of a helical antenna, this it allows us to receive information transmitted by geostationary satellites. The information is processed to obtain images of the type WEFAX with a resolution of 8 Km. and HRPT of 1.1 Km. The design of the antenna carries out it by means of a mathematical analysis of the theory of antennas[1]; by this way the dimensions were obtained for the antenna, the tests and adjustments were made so that the antenna has a better performance. Finally, we present the images obtained in the cases mentioned up previously. The obtained images can be used for the meteorological analysis.
