Abstract :
We describe a system that displays information on a mobile device related to the user´s intentions as soon as the user turns on the device. The intentions are prioritized based on the user´s situation (location, time, behavior), personal data (schedule) stored in the device, and the optimal route for transferring information from the current location to the destination through the Internet. A user often has more than one intention when turning on such a device, and the reasoning from the situation to each intention is done through their intricate relationship. The relationships are representing using conceptual fuzzy sets based on radial basis function networks. In this paper, we describe a system that predicts the information the user would want to see in a given situation and demonstrate its effectiveness through some illustrative examples.
