Abstract :
This study is on the pulse generator system for CNT lamp. The system mainly consists of a high voltage generator and a uni-polar and bi-polar pulse generator for anode and gate in CNT triode respectively. The experimental results demonstrate that the applied uni-polar or bi-polar pulse voltage between the cathode and the gate of the CNT triode have advantages over the applied DC voltage in the respects of brightness and efficiency. We choose basic topology from the experimental results and make prototype hybrid ballast for CNT lamp.
