Abstract :
A quadratic theory of a plasma-beam superheterodyne free electron laser of the dopplertron type with non-axial electron beam entry is constructed. It is found, that four different operation modes in the investigated device can be realized. The conditions with peak amplification factor are determined. It is shown that amplification factors of electromagnetic signal in all operation modes of the device are increased when beam entry angle grows.
